About Socorro, TX - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Located southeast of El Paso along the northern banks of the Rio Grande, Socorro is city with about 32,000 residents. It is part of the El Paso Metro Area and was established in 1680. Socorro as incorporated in 1871 and later re-incorporated in 1985. Employment opportunities here are plentiful in the area of sales, construction, and service providers.

There is a wealth of things to see and do in this city. Each year, Socorro hosts the Fiesta de San Miguel, which features music, food, dancing, rides, and games. The Socorro Mission was constructed in about 1840, and the Socorro Entertainment Center is a major concert venue and Native American entertainment center here. Bulldog Championship Park offers walking trails, a pond, and a splash pad, and various events are held here throughout the year at the amphitheater. Other parks include Amistad Park, Mauro Rosas Park, and Valle Hermoso Park.

Socorro is found in a climate transitional area, but the city’s southern location makes it quite pleasant during the summer months. While northerners battle sleet and snow, conditions in Socorro are mostly dry and mild. Average high temperatures in July reach about 57 degrees Fahrenheit, and snowfall is almost non-existent. Still, residents will need to have a heat pump or furnace system at home to stay warm indoors throughout the season, especially since there are times that outdoor temperatures fall below freezing.

Summers in the region are very hot, and while average daily highs reach the mid-90s, temperatures well into the 100s are also common. Humidity levels in Socorro tend to be low, so a home that is excessively humid indoors may be in need of air conditioning repair. An increase in indoor humidity may mean that an AC unit isn’t effectively reducing moisture levels, and it could also lead to an increase in monthly cooling costs. Fortunately, Socorro area HVAC professionals can help.
