About Horizon City, TX - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Horizon City, Texas is found in El Paso County, and as of 2010, about 16,700 people resided here. This population had increased significantly from the year 2000 numbers in which only about 5,300 people lived in the city. Horizon City is located immediately east of El Paso and was incorporated in 1988. The Socorro and Clint Independent School Districts serve the community, and older students will complete their secondary education at Horizon High School or Eastlake High School.

Visitors and residents of Horizon City will find plenty of interesting places to visit. Some visitors may like to play around at the Horizon Golf Course, while those who would prefer a relaxing night out should visit Movies at the Park. Outdoor recreation is available at Horizon Mesa Park, and shopping centers in the community include Darrington Park and High Desert Plaza. There are also many unique and delicious restaurants in the city, some of which include Pho Bowl, Tacos El Charly, Ay Jalisco, and Sunny’s Sushi.

Horizon City and the rest of the El Paso Metro Area are known for hot weather, especially during the summer months. Daytime highs average in the mid-90s or higher during much of the season, and while humidity levels are low, it is still important for residents to have the right central air conditioning system at home. Homeowners can stay cool with preventative residential maintenance, and these services also lead to fewer surprises and out of pocket expenses.

Summer weather in Horizon City is quite mild with warm periods. From January to February, average daily highs reach the low-60s, making the area popular for snowbirds hoping to escape frigid northern temperatures. However, cold spells and the potential for freezing overnight temperatures exist, so it is still important that locals invest in the right heat pump or furnace system.
