About Clint, TX - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Clint, Texas is a small town found in El Paso County. About 925 people lived here as of the 2010 census, but due to its association within the El Paso Metro Area, employment opportunities are plentiful in the region. Previously known as Collinsburgh, the town is located on the Southern Pacific Railroad - only 16 miles southeast of downtown El Paso. The town is served by the Clint Independent School District, which includes elementary, junior high, and high schools, as well as the Clint Early College High School.
There are a few interesting places to visit in Clint. There are several restaurants and bars in the community despite the small population, including Mamacitas, Cotton Eyed Joe’s, Banderas Restaurant, and Flick’s Pizza. While major shopping complexes are available in El Paso, Clint is home to a Dollar General, Dollar Tree, and Que Cute Style Boutique – a woman’s clothing shop. There are also several churches within the town limits, such as Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses and San Lorenzo Catholic Church.
Clint is found in a transitional climate zone between a hot desert climate and a cold desert climate. Winters here are cool to mild with minimal rainfall. Snow is rare, and average daily highs in the middle of the season reach the upper-50s. While some homeowners choose gas or electric furnaces to stay warm at home, heat pumps are gaining in popularity. These systems offer both heating and cooling capabilities at optimal energy efficiency.
Summers in Clint can be brutally hot, so to avoid scrambling to find emergency air conditioning repair in the middle of the season, residents are wise to plan ahead with periodic maintenance. Average highs in July reach the mid-90s, and there is little humidity in the area. Triple digit temperatures are also common, so it is essential that residents have a reliable central air conditioner ready to work when needed.
